Important information about First Communion and Confirmation

With You Always – the sacraments of initiation

Jesus said… ‘know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.’ (Matthew 28:20)

Baptisms will commence again in June 2021. Please see below the following information which is subject to change at any time in accordance with government or Archdiocesan guidance:
June Baptisms: for up to 30 guests including parents and godparents
July Baptisms: no guest limit
August: no baptism (unless previously confirmed)
September onwards: Baptisms – no guest limit

Please pray for our Y5 and Y4 children, who are now preparing, both in school and at home with their families, to receive the sacrament of Eucharist for the first time later
this term and, we hope, in September.

Subject to advice from the Diocese we hope to hold our First Holy Communion masses for Year 5 (who were Year 4 last year) on Saturday, 10th July at 9.30am and 11.30am.

If your child is in Year 8 or above and is yet to be Confirmed, Animate Youth have created 4 videos about Confirmation that can be accessed on YouTube at

If they would like to receive the sacrament this year it is essential they register online, at before the 28th June 2021. Please complete the form.

If you are unable to do this at home please inform the school chaplain who will be able to

When a young person has registered, your local confirmation co-ordinator will contact them. Working with the Clergy, the co-ordinator will take you through the next steps of  the preparation process. If you have any questions, please contact Fr Simon Gore at or on 01744 740467 or speak to your parish priest.
